Meet Ms. Doll

Hello!

Welcome to Fortunate in Fifth Grade. It is exactly how I feel about my teaching job. I have been teaching 8 years altogether and this is my 3rd year teaching 5th grade. I was a 1st grade teacher. Going from 1st to 5th was a BIG change but one that I loved! I made a decision to switch districts and was given the opportunity to teach 5th grade. I always thought I would be a primary teacher but I 100% believe that things happen for a reason and I absolutely love teaching 5th grade! I love my school, my 5th grade team, and my principal! This is why I feel very fortunate.

I am a mother of two boys. My boys keep me very busy, especially when baseball season is in full swing! I love to organize and craft. My silhouette cameo is my go-to tool for my classroom and craft projects. I might still love One Direction, and I never act my age! I love to be silly with my family, friends, and my students. You have to have fun in life!

My hope for this blog is to provide other teachers with some inspiration, resources, share what is working, share what is not, teacher humor, and links and shoutouts to other amazing teacher's resources! I am so thankful for Teachers Pay Teachers. I had a totally useless 1st grade classroom. I had to build a 5th grade classroom. TPT and all the amazing sellers on there came to my rescue!

Enjoy the posts and I hope you find something to take away with you to make your day better! Don't forget to follow me on social media!
